About the Authour – Diana Miserez
Diana Miserez was born in London, and grew up in Midlands. At Bristol University she met a number of Eastern European refugee students, and an interest in their experiences led her to work with what is now called the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
Over the course of several periods at Geneva headquarters and field assignments in Africa and Asia, Diana came into fairly frequent contact with Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan, initially Deputy, then as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (1962-77).
Diana was among the many people with whom the late prince developed friendly relationships, which he maintained for the rest of his life. Eventually, she was strongly urged by several former colleagues to write this biography.
She is married to a Swiss and has an adult daughter.
